Toronto – Droppin Knowledge, Toronto’s Premier Hip Hop League, launches its summer season with a lineup uniting the who’s who and up-and-comers of the Toronto scene. For the month of June, emcees D-Sisive, Charlie Murphy, "L" and Fresco P invade the revered Rivoli bar for a night of ruckus and rawness. Heightening the party vibe, resident DJ James Redi and hosts Famous and Rez Raida will be on hand to ensure the energy is always on point and the music never skips a beat. On Friday, June 3rd, please join us in continuing the legendary movement known as Droppin' Knowledge.

Since January 2010, DK has grown into Toronto's most revered monthly hip hop party - uniting our city's most widespread Emcees and DJ's through the Livest crowd seen in recent years of the "Screwface Capital". The first Friday of every month, resident DJ James Redi and hostFundament hold down The Rivoli for the best Toronto has to offer of its revered hip hop scene.

This is your chance to submit an application to be a part of 106 & York Urban Arts Youth Festival. We are encouraging MC’s, Singers, Theatre Groups, Dancers, Spoken Word Artists and Beat boxers between the ages of 13-29 to apply. Please keep in mind that only those who are contacted will be called back for an audition. We will only have limited spots for artists in this year's show case. 

Manifesto, Highclass Community and Network Integrated By Street Entertainment (N.I.S.E.) are uniting this year to organize the Fourth Annual 106 & York: Urban Arts Festival. 106 & York is one of the largest and highly regarded youth arts festivals in Toronto. The festival provides a platform for established and up-and-coming talent to display their art to a broader audience and to exemplify the true culture of Toronto’s urban entertainment sector.

Each and every Monday throughout the month of May, CHRY 105.5FM will celebrate the art of DJing and Canada's nightlife culture.

Expanding the formula for their 3rd Annual Pre-Stylus Awards Radio Broadcast Series CHRY's flagship morning show TORONTO MORNING LIVE will invite a number of Canada's foremost DJ's and club lifestyle personalities in-studio to showcase their talents and discuss the burgeoning culture of DJing and nightlife in Canada. Each week an assembled cast of nightlife personalities will participate in panel discussions that bring to light the behind scene realities of a thriving industry.

Hosted by radio veteran DJ Manifest and mega-city personality Flo (TOFLO.com), each episode will highlight a Stylus DJ Spinfest Award nominee from a number of award categories.

Celebrating their 6th year, Stylus SpinFest 2011 successfully integrates the elements of DJ culture and the essence of the growing nightlife scene across Canada. Billed as a DJ Festival, the Stylus weekend (May 27-30) has grown into a national phenomenon recognizing DJ's and contributors to nightlife culture from every region across Canada.

The May Is... Month of the DJ Series will provide a platform for listening audiences across the GTA and world-wide through CHRY's digital and web feeds to partake in an exciting broadcast of Canada's top-rated DJ's and urban culture stakeholders.
